Fairview Basement
Challenge
George approached DBC with the desire to transform his useless cinder block basement into something useful for everyone. The family wanted a retreat where they could entertain and have several options for quality family time together. A space to put their musical talents to use was a must. The height of the ceiling was a concern as they didn't want to lose any headspace or surface area.
Solution
DBC was able to transform the old space into a modern, family retreat that offered a new kitchen, office space, entertainment area, and an added bathroom. The beautiful new design provided a space to showcase the family's prized instruments and a place to practice and perform their music. The solution provided to keep the ceilings at the desired height was to paint the ceiling, pipes, and lighting black. The finished product is sleek and draws the eye to the aesthetics of the room.
